Join us in our mission to educate Pacific Palisades residents on fire safety practices.
Fire Safe Palisades is currently made up of established Fire Wise Communities, those in the process of recognition of becoming a Fire Wise Communities, and any and all neighborhoods or HOAs within the Pacific Palisades who are interested in making their neighborhoods safer from fire. We partner with established groups who support us with education, grants and activism. Please see the list of participants below and let us know if you want to join us in creating a safer environment for all Palisadians.
Fire Safe Palisades mission is to prepare the Pacific Palisades community for the next wildfire by:
Educating residents on how to minimize risk to their homes by providing access to experts and resources.
Building a strong community partnership las the first responders so we are prepared for the next wildfire.
Securing resources to support fire prevention and fire protection efforts
Working to increase residential property insurability by hardening homes and creating defensible space.
Fire Safe Palisades Communities
California Riviera
The California Riviera is bordered by Will Rogers State Park, The Riviera Country Club and Rustic Canyon. The 413 homes in the this community include 400 to 1486 Amalfi Drive, 1255 to 1490 Capri Drive, all of Corsica Drive, Minorca Drive, Napoli Drive, Pavia Place, Spoleto Drive, Toulon Drive, 13573, 13585, 13600, 13620 Romany Drive and Sunset Boulevard from 13601 to 13956.
El Medio Bluffs
The El Medio Bluffs is located west of the Via Bluffs and Temescal Canyon Road, running near Pacific Palisades Charter High School. It sits just south of Sunset Boulevard.
Marquez Knolls 1
Marquez Knolls runs from Bienveneda to Palisades Drive, and Sunset to the mountains, excluding the gated communities.
Marquez Knolls 2
This Upper Marquez 2 includes Upper Lachman Lane, Via Floresta, Duende Lane, Charmel Lane, Vista Grande, Glynn Drive, Duende Lane.
Santa Ynez HOA
Santa Ynez is comprised 193 single family homes located in the Santa Ynez Canyon portion of the Highlands - is situated near Via Santa Ynez and Scenic Place.
Upper Riviera
The Upper Riviera consists of 60 homes North of Sunset on Alta Mura, San Onofre, Casale, Umeo.
Fire Safe Palisades Partnerships

FireSafe Brentwood, established by Brentwood Homeowners Association (BHA) in 2024 in partnership with Crestwood Hills Association, is a recognized California Fire Safe Council. The mission of FireSafe Brentwood is to prepare the Brentwood community for the next wildfire.

MySafeLA reaches thousands of students, families, and older adults with life saving instruction on preparing for and surviving disasters. MySafeLA inspects homes for fire dangers, installs FREE smoke alarms and supports fire departments with training content.

Resilient Palisades began in 2019 when a small group of neighbors decided that local action could make a real difference. It has grown into a broad, active network committed to building a safer, cleaner, more resilient future for Pacific Palisades and for the region.

SMMFSC’s mission is to promote wildfire safety and community resilience in the communities of the Santa Monica Mountains through education, technical support, subject matter expertise, and community driven action plans.
