SIGN UP FOR HOME IGNITION ZONE ASSESSMENTS
The Santa Monica Mountains Fire Safe Council will be in the Palisades Riviera to conduct Home Ignition Zone (HIZ) assessments on THURA. If you are available to schedule a Home Ignition Zone Evaluation, please use the link below to select a time and confirm your appointment. If you are unavailable on this day, please sign up to be notified about upcoming appointments at smmfsc.org/hiz.
During your home ignition zone assessment, trained evaluators will survey the outside of the home and yard space to assess potential wildfire ignition threats and provide information on how to improve home hardening and defensible space on your property. HIZs are typically 30-45 minutes, free and private. We are a non-regulatory agency and are not associated with any insurance agencies. Please fill out the HIZ waiver beforehand. The waiver can be found HERE.
